Inspired by the film by Wim Wenders in 1987 and the follow-up Faraway, So Close in 1993 after the fall of the Wall in Berlin. The film is about invisible, immortal angels who listen to the thoughts of people in Berlin and provide comfort for those in distress. One of the angels becomes human to experience the sensory pleasures that he never could as an angel.
The angels in this series started out as photographs from the Glasgow Necropolis taken by Lou. She has added multiple layers to create a rich and sumptuous feel and to bring life to the old grey stone and create a feeling of benevolence and warmth
