The Gallery is hosting a short mini exhibition entitled ‘Creative Me’ from 2nd May for two weeks to launch the Creative Whithorn Arts and Crafts Association 2014 Trail. Creative Whithorn recently put out a call to it’s members and community to make self-portraits for dispay during the trail. They also plan to work with the local school and youth groups to involve young people in this initiative.

Some of the first contributions will be shown in our Gallery for two weeks. It is hoped that a collection of portraits will include paintings, drawings, photographs, digital images, scultpure, textiles and imaginative contributions. The first contributions include a range of formats already.

Come along and see the first wave of portraits made by people of all ages! This is a very exciting insitiative and it is anticipated that it will also tie in with the Big Draw initiative which is a campaign to encourage drawing in September.
