Wigtown Fringe Festival 2013
As part of the Art Inspired by Literature Exhitbition we will be opening a pop-up gallery in Wigtown during the Wigtown Book Festival as part of the Fringe Activities from 27th September – 6th October 2013. The pop-up gallery will be open at 16 South Main Street (next door to the Reading Lasses cafe and bookshop) from 10am to 4pm every day during the festival. The pop-up space will showcase art from the main Gallery Exhibition and will also feature some vintage and gift items & cards.
Wigtown is very busy during this period and we hope to introduce Life’s Little Ironies to a whole new audience and offer a variety of original artworks and prints for sale. We will also be offering a special limited edition poster relating to the event and featuring some undiscovered work by artist Judith Gray who died in 2004. As part of the exhibition Judith’s work around Leda and the Swan will be featured, including paintings, etchings and woodblock prints.
